The Nature Conservancy: Big Woods Stream Restoration

This Weblog highlights the ongoing stream restoration at Benson Slash Creek, located in the "Big Woods" of eastern Arkansas. This project, lead by The Nature Conservancy in Arkansas, will restore the natural hydrology and associated bottomland hardwood forests to Benson Slash Creek, a tributary to Bayou DeView. For the last 60 years, Benson Slash has been an agricultural ditch which, after rains, pollutes this area's large rivers with sediment and nutrients.
